At KTS we appreciate that every branch removal will create a wound to a tree and alter its balance and so any pruning is done with a specific purpose in mind using techniques developed to preserve the trees remaining tissue and structure.

We leave the trees looking as natural as possible using target pruning to achieve a balanced, even crown which isn't obvious that it has been pruned. All our techniques are designed to maximise the lifespan of the tree.

Conifer Hedge Reduction / Trimming

We carry out all kinds of hedge trimming including light trimming to large height reduction and removal.

To keep a conifer hedge in excellent condition trimming is advised at least once a year. Some people leave it till between two and three years but this increases risk of snow damage.

If a heavy snowfall pulls down a section of the hedge, the unsightly hole can take years to recover.
