Dead Tree Removal

Dead trees pose a hazard to people property and livestock.

We can remove dead trees using various sectional dismantling and lowering techniques.

The images below show a large ash tree which was showing signs of decline. We took the tree down using sectional dismantling techniques until it was reduced to a bare trunk. We then used a hand winch to pull the rest of the trunk into the garden as it was leaning towards the road. When the tree hit the ground it split along its length. You can see from the crack in the stump that the trunk had been severely weakened by this large split, possibly from a lightning strike in the past.

Stump Grinding

Stump grinding is a quick and efficient way of removing a protruding tree stump.

We can grind any size stump for you with minimal ground disturbance.

Typically this is to a depth of 200mm below the surface leaving the ground ready for replanting or construction.
